Stay Healthy by Drinking Enough Water Every Day

Water is the main chemical element of our body. It was the element that makes up 60% of our body weight. You’ll be dehydrated if you didn’t drink enough water every day. Our body needs water to provide moisture for throat tissues, nose, and ear. Water also functions to dispose toxins out from vital organs and carries nutrients to our body cells.  That shows how important water for our body. The question is how much water should we drink every day?

There is actually no perfect formula to estimate how much your body needs water every day but you can always following the advice that tells us to drink 8 glasses of water every day. There is nothing wrong with that advice but there is also no scientific evidence supporting that advice. The fact is each person actually needs different volume of water each day. It is depend on each person gender, condition and daily activities.

United States Institute of Medicine recommend 3 liters of water for men and 2.2 liters for women as the adequate water intake each day. The 8 glass of water advice will provide us with maximum 1.9 liters of water only. Thus you should follow the advice as the minimum glasses water you should drink every day.

You should never hesitance when it comes to drinking water because our body loses water every day. The water loses through our urine, bowel movements, perspiration and breath. Thus we need adequate water intake to replace the water we lose.

If you drink inadequate water your body will dehydrated and cannot function as it should be. Your body will feel weak and then you cannot perform your daily activities normally. Some extreme cases of dehydration reportedly lead to death.

Drinking water is undoubtedly essential for our body. So, if you want to stay healthy you need to tell yourself to drink enough water everyday. You can drink mineral water for your daily water intake or taking advantage of other sources of water. Tea, coffee, fruit juice and milk are also good and healthy sources of water. You can even use beer but it is not recommended since it is of no use for your body health.
